Blueprint of My Heavenly Home

Do not let your heart be troubled, Trust in God, trust also in me.  In my Father’s house are many rooms… I will come back and take you to be with me that you may be where I am.  You know the way to the place where I am going.   John 14:1-4
Château de Chambord – Starting in 1518, this hunting lodge was built for François I, King of France. It took 15 years to build. The château has a double-spiral staircase designed by Leonardo DaVinci, 440 rooms, and a fireplace for each day of the year! It is quite a sight to behold! The massiveness of the rooms, courtyards and property are a bit overwhelming. I am living in the center of the Loire Valley, which is known for having many châteaux (castles). I have had the opportunity to visit a handful of them, but Chambord is by far the largest. It is said that Louis XIV was so envious of Francois I, that he then had Versailles built. I don’t know if Francois I or Louis XIV ever made it to heaven, but have you noticed their houses didn’t go with them! Isn’t it nice to know that when we get to heaven the Lord will have a place prepared for us already? We just need to make sure we make it to our eternal home and we share the love of Christ with as many as we can before His return. What are we building in our lives today? Are we building success, acceptance, or bank accounts, which will not go with us? Or are we building relationships that are eternal, and a reputation, of speaking Truth and Life. I believe that once we are in the presence of God, housing will never cross our mind. If it does, we will not be thinking,“How many rooms will my mansion have?”, but “How close is it to my Lord and Savior?” Oh how I long to live in the presence of God FOREVER! Each day my eyes and heart see the “Lostness of society.” When people are shocked to hear the word “God” in a conversation and they have no idea how God could fit in their life, that is someone who is lost. In every class that I have had, someone has asked me “Why Congo?” I am then able to share with them how God has directed my life.  You have a part in this ministry!
