The simple things in life!

When someone says, "Enjoy the simple things in life!" What comes to your mind? Recently, I have been thinking about the little things in life. I realize that living in Dem. Rep. of Congo has broadened my perspective on many things. The simple things in life, have changed for me. The simple things I enjoy here are having enough time to cook dinner before the electricity goes out. (You never know when it will happen!) Having water at just the right time, can save me 15min. in the morning. Otherwise I have to fill a bucket from the reserve. I enjoy the rain that cools the temperature and brings fresh air. The thunderstorms here are incredible! I have a hard time sleeping during a storm, because I like to watch the lightning. Another simple thing in life that I enjoy, is the time spent with a child. No matter what language they speak, I have found children to be the same all around the world. They are so curious, playful, and want to be loved. They have so many questions. Children are the next generation! Take the time to listen. You could play a part in changing the world and a child's life!
